Since it is completly vital for whatever plot line may develp, and also because I love making histories and this one was really fun, I'm going to type up Craig's history.
For starters, he had amnesia and can't really remember anything after the age of five. What he does remember are very vauge messages and a small, overly crowded house made out of cloth and sticks in a refugee camp somewhere in Guatemala. He doesn't remember who exactlly his parents where, but he does remember a mother-like-figure telling them about an immortal army that was waging a war on Mexico for no apparant reason. Countless villages just like his were wiped out, and the survivers had no choice but to run and hide and hope they wern't found. Eventually they moved south and found the camp.
When Craig was five, he ran away from the camp. He retreated to the forest, but he can't remember anything after that. He found a hermit in the forest, who was extremely paranoid. He agreed to help Craig, but soon ended up teaching him everything he knew. This was the only person that Craig ever really liked, since the hermit loved the quiet and solotude just as much as Craig did. Or maybe the hermit taught him to be that way, and Craig was, as of then, mentally undeveloped and took the the hermit's ways quickly.
Anyway, the hermit was the one that gave Craig his tattoos, using a special ink that he concocted invovling several ancient techniques, powerful herbs, and the blood of an immortal. The hermit acted like he knew what he was doing enough to convince Craig to go along with it, but he didn't really know what to expect. Craig was about 13 at this time, and it was also when the first of the amnesia started showing up. From his distant memories, he was able to remember who he was but he had no idea how he got there. That suited the hermit just fine, since it reduced the possibibity that Craig would be able to tell anyone about him.
The hermit filled him in on everying the first time, and life continued much as normal after that. But the hermit had started plotting. Something else had changed in Craig with the tattoo, but the hermit couldn't quite tell what it was. He was playing around with the idea of giving Craig another tattoo, on the other hand, and see if the power was intensified.
The hermit, in the end, went with it, telling Craig that he had forgetton last time and he hadn't had enough materials to finish until now, about two years later. He gave Craig his second tattoo, this one infused with enough of the immortal blood that it knocked Craig out. His heart actually stopped beating, and the hermit ran away, afraid that he had killed Craig.
But, of course, he didn't and Craig woke up a couple days later. He, didn't remember much anything. All he could remember was that something supernatural had done this to him, and he started to hate the immortal beings that he believed had done this to him.
The only definate memories he had was of the refugee camp, and Craig could see no choice but to return. After another two and a half years, with the help of his newly developed intiution and some luck, he found it. Or, to be more acurate, what was left of it. The immortals that had murdered everyone in his village had returned to kill off everyone in the refugee camp, too. At a loss as to why they would do this, Craig finnaly had a definate reason to hate them. About three months later, he forgot the exact reason, but he knew that he wanted to kill every immortal who would think of doing this.
A couple months after that, he heard of Kaerush Academy, and all of the rumors of surrounding it and decided that if he was going to start his personal war against any and all things unhuman, he might as well learn more about them. By the time he was enrolled, he had forgotton the reason that he had found in necesary to come here, but he felt obligated to come anyway. He knew that there was a reason, but he just couldn't think of it.
That's it! there's just two more things I want to mention, but it doesn't really fit into the history. In his bio, I said the Criag was intrested in wars and what caused them. This is because he wonders if any of the other wars in human history were started by immortals. Aslo, the immortal army that attacked his village was part of the vampire wars of the south in Eclipse. They later attacked the refugee camp because one army got desperate after they had lost their city.
