Rincha sat at one of the benches in the courtyard, looking down intently at a book in her hand. She seemed to be enjoying the book, as a pleasant look was on her face.
Deried exited the main building of the school and headed towards the dorm courtyard, seeming completely out of it. Craig certainly wasn't going to help him get rid of his roommate. And it seemed unlikely Craig wanted to help Deried at all. Or would be useful, for that matter. All he needed now was-- He froze as a delicious scent from the dorm courtyard filled his nostrils. Almost immediately his eyes zoned in on the source of the scent, and he was standing by Rincha's side in a matter of seconds, his control slipping. The girl looked up at him with blood red eyes and he froze. He'd only seen one girl with blood red eyes...and this body was certainly not hers, but the eyes were undeniably hers. He'd known her to be able to do amazing things, but...this was a bit out there. Also, the last time he'd seen her was when she almost ended his life permanently, with such an angry expression on her face. The same person couldn't look at him with such anger then and now look at him with such an innocent expression, like she found him to her liking. "Yes?" she asks and Deried realizes that he is standing in front of her for no reason, saying nothing. What a strange situation. Without hesitation, he smoothly smiled and said, "I just saw you sitting all alone and thought I might join you." Rincha smiled warmly at Deried, "That's kind of you."

Julia slouched throgh the courtyard, utterly bored and otherwise in a less-then-cheery mood. Even with the small amount of possesions he owned, she already hated moving. Heavy lifting and organizing. Ugh. She had come to the courtyard to try and find some respite. She had a small book under her arm, a run-of-the-mill paperback that she had scrounged up before leaving. Choosing a bench about fifteen yards from Rincha's she opened her book the the approxament page she had left off on, and begun reading.

Rincha looked over at Julia, and Deried followed her eyes. He hadn't even noticed the other girl enter the courtyard, his mind and senses were so engrossed with Rincha. Now Rincha stood up, closing her book without seeming to keep her place and smiling at Deried, a friendly smile of someone who just met someone else they like a bit. "We should give her some company as well, don't you think?" Deried didn't agree with Rincha, but nodded anyways. He didn't want to know this other girl that had different eyes that weren't similar at all. Rincha and Deried walked over to Julia, Rincha the one that smiled at Julia "Hello again." Her words further baffled Deried. Rincha and this other girl had met before? His face, however, didn't show any of his emotions, just a mildly interested look on his face that one has when their friends drag them places without asking or explaining anything.

Julia looked up and couldn't supress a small cringe at the sight of Rincha. She managed to pas it off as a jerk of surpise at being interupted, but it wouldn't be hard to descern the real reason. "Oh, hi." she said, automatically giving a small smile. "Whos that?" she asked, turning her attention hastily on to Deried, and cocking her head slightly.

"A friend of mine. I do hope we'll all become great friends, don't you?" she smiled warmly at Julia, like she meant every word she said. Deried, on the other hand, was even more baffled. No, it couldn't be her. She was much too friendly towards people she hardly knew...then again, none of the ones in this school could be considered "normal". Perhaps they were just the kind of people she liked.

"Um, sure." Julia said, not quite sure why Rincha didn't supply a name. She shifted unconterbly at Rincha's tone of voice, not trusting at all the super saturated sweetness. Instead of trying to talk to her more, she turned her attention to the other boy. "What's your name?" she asked, trying her best not to look at Rincha.

"Deried," he answered without thinking, a German accent coloring his name, as it well should. His pretty brown eyes met hers, and he smiled at her, "Yours?" Whereas people normally couldn't feel comfortable around Rincha, it seemed the opposite for Deried, like he meant every word that he said, and always spoke his mind.

"Julia." Julia answered, her heart thudding in stacato when Deried's deep eyes meet hers. She smiled, and gave an acknowliging upward jerk of her head. He was... sincere, she decided. Something about him... Julia rather like it.

Deried's eyes seemed to smile now "What a pretty name." It would be nice if this girl liked him. That would mean he had a friend. And friends are always good...when they don't die.
Rincha laughed. "Seems we'll all get along just fine." It would certainly be to her advantage if Deried was distracted by "friends" and if she obtained some loyal allies in the process. So far, Deried seemed to strongly doubt Rincha's identity, and she'd like it to stay that way.

"Perfect." Julia said with a strained smile towards Rincha. Just as Deired seemed sincere, Rincha was the opposite. Like she had a hidden motive for everything she said. She turned to head slightly, hidding the blush that Deried's comment produced. Richa... what was with her? The last time they meet, she was ready to attack her, but now she was being all friendly. It irritated Julia. In her aggitation, Julia tensed her hands, which were gripping her book. With a snap, the bindings broke. Starting, Julia dropped her book to the damp ground, smearing it in mud. "Brilliant..." she muttered, gingerly picking up the book again.

As though by instinct, by the time Julia had bent down to pick up her book, Deried had already picked it up, and was brushing off the mud. He frowned slightly, "Seems we'll have to fix the book."
Rincha glanced at the broken bindings of Julia's book. "I could perhaps find something with which to fix it with..." It's a pity when important things are broken...Broken... A haunted look filled Rincha's eyes as she continued to stare at the broken book. Coherent thought seemed to be lost on her for a moment, like she needed something to pull her back to reality, but everything wasn't relevant enough to suffice.

ooc- Wow. I found something consistant in Run's behavior. She reacts when things break. Andre's bones, Julia's book... and now I sound like a psychietrist.
Julia started when Deried picked up the book before her. Unconsiously, she smiled, flattered. "Thanks..." she wanted to add something else, but before she could think of something, Rincha interupted with her comment. "Really?" she asked, standing up. "That would be great." she was still aprehensive about trusting Rincha with anything, even something as trivial as her book.

OOC: Yes, these things have been getting to her as of late. Eh...I wonder...
"Yes, yes, I'll be right back," she murmured, turning away from the two and walking in the direction of the girls' dorms.
Deried watched Rincha walk away, looking a bit sad to see her go, as though he would miss the company of all the friends he had who left his presence. Because when he couldn't see them, he couldn't know that they were safe. And this girl...this Rincha...didn't seem like a "Run" to him. She was too imperfect...to sad. Yet the feeling she emitted...that was the only reason he still considered her a possible subject.

Julia noticed the direction of his gaze, and decided to put her own intake on the subject, come what may. She was apprehensive, because the Headmistress made it seem like Rincha had an important position. "I don't like her. She attacked me earlier today, and now she's being all friendly." Julia said

OOC: I look at the name of the board, and Toy Story plays in my head... "Strange things are happening..." ...wait...I think I mentally changed the voice and the tune and the words and...
"Did she now?" Deried mused, sounding like he was considering something. Behavior patterns were now consistent once more, yet... Then the school statement flashed in his mind. Trust must be gained. Rincha...she didn't seem trustworthy. She'd have to redeem herself in some way if he were to trust her... "Then she can't be trusted," he said, turning away from the direction Rincha had gone and looking at Julia. Then he smiled "Or at least, not yet. And I suppose we should say the same for each other as well." He's so hopeful...I kind of want to hug him.

Julia smiled, trying to supress a blush and failing miserably. "I don't think I'll ever trust her. As they say, first impressions are the hardest to break." Julia said, glancing sourly at the direction the Rincha had gone. But then her expression changed, and she looked up at Deried. "But at least you havn't done anything untrustworty." she said with a smile.

Deried chucked at Julia's words and expression. "Let's try to keep it that way, hm?" then he winked at her. Gosh, who does that? He does, apparently. That winker. Gosh. Oh, right....
Rincha then returned from a different way than where she had gone before, holding a small box in her hands and looking like she had just seen a ghost...but smiling as soon as she saw Julia and Deried. "I think we can fix it with this," she said as she approached them, her voice a bit unsteady, but her face trying to suppress all of that. "May I?" she asked, holding her free hand out for Julia's broken book.

Dethran walked into the courtyard, wearing the metal backpack with the monkeys on his shoulders. "Hey Rincha," he said, "you have something that needs fixing?"

Julia giggled. She couldn't help it, even though she was fully aware of how flirtatious she sounded at the moment. Then Rincha returned, and Julia was forced to relinguish her book so that she could try to fix it. Some other kid walked up, but Julia hardly noticed him, exept to wonder why anyone would offer Rincha help, or what kind of person would want to. Instead she turned back to Deried, smiling shyly up at him, and thinking how much she would really enjoy spending time with him.

OOC-Actually, never mind; I'm bored. I was going to wait until Rincha replied, but I'll have Franz come now and interrupt.
IC- Franz walked out of the boys' dorms, grinning darkly and chuckling to himself. "I take it you finished Grauen, then?" said Dethran once he noticed Franz. "Yup," said Franz, smiling wickedly.

Rincha looked at Dethran for a moment, as though she were contemplating whether to let him fix the book or be offended for him thinking she couldn't do it. Before she decided, though, Franz appeared, killing the opportunity to respond to Dethran at all. Ah well. Holding the book gently, Rincha sat down on the bench, putting the small box down and then beginning to quickly put the book back together. Glue was effective, but not... She placed some glue on the binding, then pressed it shut before pulling out a thread and needle and sowing the binding back together. All of this was done in less than a minute. Then Rincha was holding the book out to Julia, smiling as she said, "It's all fixed now."
Deried looked a bit uncomfortable at the sudden appearance of more people. Instead of only three, there were suddenly five, all of them in their own little worlds. Although he told himself that he should get used to it for when school started, he took a step away from the crowd. "I'll see you later, Julia," he said quickly before rushing off in the direction of the boys' dorms. He breathed in a sputtery breath, scolding himself for having become claustrophobic so quickly. But he still wasn't used to this...all his life, he'd always had enough room to breathe, to think... It became a bit harder to breathe. Ugh. His lung was acting up again. Deried paused, a few feet away from the door of the boys' dorms yet unable to make it the few feet to the inside of the building. He coughed a wet-sounding cough, blood coming away at his fingers. This wasn't good. Not at all.

"See you, then," said Julia, turning back to watch Rincha finish fixing her book. She wondered what had made Deried leave, but was pleased that he wanted to see her again. Maybe coming here wasn't such a bad idea, after all. Her eyes slid out of focus, her brain a million miles away, but snapped back when Rincha handed back her book. "Wow, thanks, that was fast," she said appreciativly, fingering the reattached binding on her book. She glanced over in the direction that Deried had gone, still thinking about him, and noticed him leaning up against the wall, doubled over, as if in pain. Startled, she jumped to her feet, preparing to catch up to him to see what was wrong.

With Julia's attention otherwise diverted, Rincha turned to Franz, "And what makes you smile so?" She seemed honestly curious.

"I just finished a project I've been meaning to do for a while now," said Franz.
"I needed him to test a game engine that I designed for people without much experience with computers, and he had a game idea a while ago, but never got around to making completely," added Dethran, starting the generation of the engine and game on his backpack.
OOC- Dethran's nanobots finished upgrading his eyes (x-ray, infrared, zoom, etc.) Full details to be posted later.

The other three seemed engrosed in their conversation, so Julia ran over to Deried. As she got closer, she could hear him coughing. What was going on!? Frantic now, Julia sprinted the last few yards, skidding to a halt besides Deried. "What happened? Are you ok?" she asked shock and horror competing for domanince in her voice. Because there was horror, now that she was close enough to see the blood.

"Thanks for telling me nothing," Rincha said distractedly with a bit of a cold smile as she stood up and ran towards the girl's dorm. Something was wrong with Deried. Another thing wrong that she had to fix. It was so annoying to have to go back and forth; she should just start carrying around a backpack filled with useful things.
Deried struggled to focus his mind, and managed to smile at Julia "Just an old wound acting up," he managed to say before he started coughing again, more blood coming out through his mouth with each cough. He was beginning to look pale now. He was losing too much blood. It was starting to look bad for both he and Julia. He could just suffocate and pass out, but who knew what would have happened in the time he was unaware of?

"No problem!" said Franz, as if he didn't realize that Rincha was being sarcastic. "If you ever want to see or try out the game, it'll be on Dethran's laptop," he added, trusting that Dethran would make it work.
